Our Story
Our story began in 1971, when Don Russell started installing warehouse equipment at just 17 years old. What began with hands on experience in the field grew over the decades into Russell Industries and Pallet Rack Systems, one of the Southwest’s established names in pallet racking, warehouse storage, and material handling.
Although the company has grown, the way we approach business has remained grounded in many of the same principles it was built on: work hard, know your trade, take care of your customers, and stand behind the work you do.
Today, Pallet Rack Systems provides complete warehouse storage solutions for companies of all sizes. We supply new and used pallet rack, shelving, cantilever rack, material handling equipment, and other warehouse products, but we are much more than an equipment supplier. We help customers evaluate their space, design warehouse layouts, solve storage problems, install and relocate systems, inspect existing rack, handle teardowns and liquidations, and develop custom solutions when an off-the-shelf answer isn’t enough.
Our culture is practical, experienced, and hands on. We aren’t a company that simply sells a product and moves on. We want to understand what a customer is trying to accomplish, identify potential problems, and find a solution that makes sense for their operation and their budget. Whether someone needs a few replacement beams or is building out an entire warehouse, the expectation is the same: be responsive, be knowledgeable, and take care of the customer.
Being family owned is an important part of who we are. There is a sense of personal accountability that comes with having our name and reputation attached to the work we do. Relationships matter to us, both within our team and with the customers, vendors, installers, and partners we work with every day. Many of those relationships have lasted for years or even decades.
We also believe experience should never mean becoming set in our ways. Warehouses, equipment, safety standards, and customer needs continue to evolve, and so do we. We combine decades of industry knowledge with modern warehouse design, CAD layouts, safety solutions, custom fabrication, and a willingness to find creative answers to unusual problems.
